Fishing Holidays in Thailand

Thailand is a world famous tourist destination and attracts many millions of visitors every year. Its year round sunshine and miles of beautiful coral lined beaches make it a true paradise for sun worshippers everywhere. Thailand’s capital Bangkok is a bustling city with plenty to see and do both by day and by night. There are ornate temples and palaces, traditional local markets, parks and gardens and numerous modern shopping centres and the vibrant nightlife has plenty to offer. Chiang Mai in the north is famous for its jungle hiking, elephant treks and other activity based attractions as well as temples, museums and monuments. To the south are many miles of beautiful coastline where holiday makers from around the world can discover the delights of tropical beach life including snorkelling, scuba diving, and various other water sports or just bask in the sunshine.
Thailand is a fisherman’s paradise and offers the chance to catch some of the biggest species of freshwater fish in the world. The boarded lakes of Bangkok produce Siamese Carp to over 200lbs, Mekong Catfish to over 300lbs and the prehistoric Arapaima to over 400lbs. The jungle rivers and lakes are home to the hard fighting Snakehead and the immense freshwater Stingray, which can weigh in at over 700lbs. This, combined with the fantastic deep sea fishing for Sailfish, Marlin, Yellow Fin Tuna, Wahoo, Shark and Jackfish makes Thailand a number one destination for anyone seeking a once in a lifetime fishing adventure.
