The mighty River Ebro has without doubt become Europe's premier catfishing destination. It is unrivalled for the sheer volume of cats and for the number of 100lbs + specimen fish, this makes it a must fish destination for the dedicated big fish angler. It is not uncommon to have several takes at once when the fish "switch on".
Our tour is centred around the beautiful town of Mequinenza, which has some of the best and most reliable fishing anywhere on the River Ebro. Depending which stretch of the Ebro is fishing best, we can fish as far up at the Upper Lake in Caspe. This is where the river has been backed up as the result of a dam futher down, and in some places the river is over 3km wide and 70m deep. This makes an ideal habitat for monster catfish though, at certain time of the year, can be a little inconsistent.
We offer fully guided week trips, and also half week/long weekend deals, to some of the best exclusive spots on the river, some of which you can only reach by boat, so book your place now and joins on an adventure of a lifetime 'catfighting' in spain!

Visas & Vaccinations
British and Irish nationals do not require a visa to enter Spain. Other EU nationals should contact us for more information. Nationals of all other countries should contact their local embassy or consulate. Visa information is given in good faith but may be subject to change without warning.
Note: It is your responsibility to obtain a valid visa where necessary.
There are no vaccination requirements for visiting Spain, though we would recommend that you have valid vaccination protection for Tetanus and Diphtheria. Recommended vaccinations and other health protection measures vary according to the country you are visiting and can change periodically. You must consult your GP on current vaccinations needed for your destination.
International flights
This tour requires an international flight.
The price of this tour does not include your international flight and you should expect to pay between UK£50 and UK£200 for a return flight to Zaragosa, Reus or Barcelona (BCN) with Ryan Air. We recommend that you check the Ryan Air website for up-to-date prices, as we are unable to sell Ryan Air flights.
We hold a full ATOL and are licenced to sell flights (not Ryan Air). If you would prefer to fly to Barcelona with other flight operators and want to buy your flight from us, please request a quote, either during the online reservation process, the tour enquiry form, or by telephone.

Accommodation
On all escorted trips we use he Hostal Mequinenza, Is located within the village, a few meters from Mequinenza, unbeatable location and personalized service, making it a pleasant and welcoming.
Hostal Mequinenza has a variety of rooms, all equipped with bathroom, satellite-tv, air conditioning, piped music and Internet access. It also has a large terrace for guests only, overlooking the castle Mequinenza and the reservoir.
